In Tucson, a cactus can be a lethal weapon. Which the victims in p.i. Marlo Logan’s cases would know all too well…if they were alive.

About the Marlo Logan Mystery Series

Set in the rugged desert landscape of Tucson, amateur sleuth Marlo Logan’s cases are thorny but told with a dash of humor. She’s determined to prove herself as an investigator, even when her unpredictable family, scorching summers, a roller coaster love life and alarming threats intervene. It’s not Marlo’s fault that people keep getting killed by cacti. But it is good for business.

Book One

In UNDENIABLE DECEPTION, Marlo is suspended from practicing law after telling off an unfair judge—during a trial. It’s a blow, but being suspended gives Marlo the chance to follow her dream to become a private investigator. Right away, she’s eager to dive into a hit and run case that’s haunted her for fifteen years. At the same time, Marlo is working to exonerate her first client as an investigator, a teen charged with an only-in-Tucson crime of murder by saguaro cactus. Unfortunately, the cactus, the body and the gun have all disappeared. As Marlo gets closer to answers, she discovers how dangerous the truth (and saguaros) can be. But she won’t let that, or anything else, stop her.

Book Two

In UNDENIABLE ATTRACTION, Marlo’s high-profile actress client is also charged with murder by cactus, this time a teddy-bear cholla, but Marlo figures out that the key to the case is buried in a tragic death years earlier, concealed by lies the killer is desperate to keep from being exposed. As she investigates, Marlo makes a life-threatening mistake when she doesn't take an adversary seriously enough. With her life in danger from all sides, Marlo is able to root out the liars and monsters in the nick of time. She has a second case that appears to be a straightforward fatal robbery, but Marlo discovers duplicity that turns the case on its head.

As Marlo's suspension from practicing law ticks away, she faces some tough choices.
